1. Information We Collect
When you register and use LoclHyr, we collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
- Provider Information: If you register as a Worker/Driver, we collect your vehicle number, years of experience, service categories, and UPI ID for direct payments.
- Usage Data: Information regarding your bookings, chat history within the app, and ratings given or received.
2. How We Use Location Data
Location tracking is core to how LoclHyr operates. We use GPS data differently depending on your role:
IMPORTANT FOR WORKERS/DRIVERS (Background Location):
LoclHyr requires access to your location in the background. When you toggle your status to "Online", the app continues to collect your location data even when the app is closed or not in use. This is strictly required so that nearby Customers can see you on the map and send you ride or service requests in real-time. If you toggle "Offline", background location tracking stops immediately.
- For Customers: We collect your location only while the app is in use (Foreground) to show you nearby Providers, set pickup points, and track your active rides or service arrivals.
- Active Rides: During an active booking, live location is shared between the connected Customer and Provider to facilitate the meetup and journey.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share information only in the following ways:
- With Other Users: When a booking is accepted, the Customer and Provider will see each other's name, profile photo, live location, and phone number to coordinate the service.
- With Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for secure live database syncing and push notifications, and OSRM for map routing.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption, Custom JWT authentication, and secure databases (Firebase and WordPress) to protect your data. We strictly enforce single-device logins to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
5. Account Deletion & Data Rights
You have full control over your data. You can update your profile information at any time. If you wish to leave the platform, you can use the "Delete Account" button found in the Account Settings of the LoclHyr app. This action permanently and irreversibly deletes your account, personal details, and live location data from our active databases.
